What we’re looking for:

  • Experience on various formats, genres, and workflows.

  • Ability to rapidly generate short form video.

  • A track record of managing multiple concurrent projects.

  • Understanding of current social media video trends.

  • Proficiency in Premiere, Avid and Final Cut Pro.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Demonstratable understanding of long form story structure.

Needs:

  • 5+ years of video editing experience in a fast-paced environment.

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on project deadlines.

  • Ability to work remotely or in our Brooklyn office.

  • Video Portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Cadency Media is in search of someone who will be accountable for all our video editing projects.

This role will be expected to collaborate with producers, writers, creative directors, and animators to develop consistency in language within projects and campaigns, whilst developing repeatable processes for varying technical workflows.

We want someone who can engage independently with clients. Consequently, Cadency Media will gravitate toward proactive candidates who can demonstrate strong narrative, ethical and journalistic judgement beyond the mastery of video editing in isolation.

The ideal candidate would have interest in building a team over time.
